Dear Valued Patients:
For the last 30 years, your health (and safety) has been our #1 priority. Thus, in light of the unprecedented situation with the COVID-19 virus, my staff and I wanted to proactively communicate to you. The American Dental Association (ADA) had made a firm recommendation that dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next few weeks.
My staff and I must be as proactive as possible to limit the spread of this virus, especially because dentists are one of the highest risk categories for transmission and contraction of the virus. Effective today, our practice will be temporarily closing, and postponing elective procedures, for a two-week period from 3/17 through 3/31.
As a member of the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), I am following the lead of Gov. Pritzker by keeping with the following restrictions imposed to protect the health and safety of the public:
- Treat only patients requiring emergency dental procedures.
- Postpone elective dental treatment and procedures.
- Preserve protective equipment for emergency dental situations.
We also anticipate that the CDC, ADA and Illinois Department of Public Health may establish additional measures beyond what has already been instituted. By taking these additional precautions, my staff and I hope to minimize the long-term impact on our office. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and commitment to everyone’s safety during this very difficult time. As always, please feel free to call my cell (847-508-2866) if you have any emergency or concerns related to your dental health.
My most sincere wishes to you and your families for good health and hygiene.
Sincerely, Michael B Klass, DDS and Staff
